Nigel Farage's Reform UK party has overtaken the Conservatives in a national opinion poll for the first time, in a fresh blow to embattled Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.
The poll by YouGov for the Times newspaper put Reform UK on 19%, up from 17% previously, and the Conservative Party unchanged on 18%.
It is the first time that Reform UK, which was renamed from the Brexit Party last year, has overtaken the Tories in a national poll.
The poll comes as Sunak faces mounting pressure over the cost of living crisis and a series of scandals that have rocked his government.
Reform UK has vowed to stand in every seat at the next election, and Farage has said that he believes the party can win.
